Jane Papandria

Jane Papandria, 79, loving wife, mother, dearest grandmother and great-grandmother, of Kenilworth Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, in Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. She was born on Sept. 14, 1921, in South Bend, to the late John L. and Edith (Branstrator) Riffel. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Riffel.

 

On April 8, 1961, Jane married Anthony J. "Tony" Papandria Sr., who survives. Surviving with her husband of 39 years are three sons, Anthony J. "Tony" (Judy) Papandria Jr. of Shorewood, Ill., Robert J. "Bob" (Julie) Papandria of Bridgewater, N.J., and David J. (Priscilla) Papandria of Avon, Conn.; six grandchildren, Tony (Mary Ellen), Mary Jane, Tom, Nick, Christopher and Ann Papandria; one great-grandson, Jimmy; a sister, Doris McHugh of North Carolina; a brother, Wayne (Joyce) Riffel of Saginaw, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Ella Riffel of South Bend; and many loving and caring nieces and nephews. Mrs. Papandria was a member of Christ the King Parish

 

Family and friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 17, in the KANIEWSKI Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in Christ the King Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
