Aug. 26, 1932 - April 10, 1996
   South Bend - Thomas J. Palmer St., 63, of Sundown Road, died of natural causes at 6:39 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Palmer was employed by South Bend Community School Corp. as a bus driver for 17 years and was the owner/operator of Palmer Fence Co. He was born Aug. 26, 1932, in Niles. On Jan. 5, 1951, in South Bend, he married Norma L. Holland. She died March 2, 1993. He is survived by two daughters, Laura L. Richards of South Bend, and Sheila A. Hughes of Coldwater, Mich.; three sons, Thomas J. jr., Richard A. and  Michael A. all of South Bend; and four grandchildren. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a trustee for Chain- O-Lakes conservation Club.
   Services will be at noon Saturday in St. Stanislaus Catholic church. Burial wil be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4  and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
