William V. Palatin

William V. Palatin, 71, of Pam Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 2:10 P.M. on Saturday, Nov. 25, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was born on Jun. 6, 1929, in South Bend, to John and Julia (Sauer) Palatin.

On Oct. 2, 1954, in South Bend, he married the former Tillie Salwin, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Andrea (Scott) Tafelski of South Bend; two grandchildren, Jordan and Abbey Tafelski of South Bend; and by a sister, Elsie Malecki of South Bend.

Mr. Palatin had been employed as a tool & die designer at Michiana Design, retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka and the Crumstown Conservation Club, and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. today, Nov. 28, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 7 P.M. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
