SOUTH BEND – Mrs. Margaret Alice
Palatin, 46, of 1504 Byron Drive, an employee of the
University of Notre Dame, died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday in St.
Joseph Hospital after an illness of four months. She was born on
Dec. 30, 1920 in South Bend. She had lived here all her lifetime.
As Margaret Lemmerhart she was
married to Matthew Palatin on Aug. 232, 1947 in South Bend. He
survives along with three daughters, the Misses Barbara, Margaret
and Patricia, all at home; a brother Frank Lemmerhart, of Jones,
Mich., and a sister, Mrs. Irene Howell of Niles. She had served
in the Woman’s Army Corp during World War II.

Zahoran Funeral Home.

Services for Mrs. Margaret Alice Palatin, 46, of 1504 Byron Drive, who died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of four months., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Matthew’s Catholic Cathedral, with Msgr. Arnold Wibbert, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home. Friends may call at any time until services.
