SOUTH BEND - Loretta S. Paar, 83, of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend.

She was born on March 19, 1924, in South Bend, to the late Walter and Joan (Kuczmanski) Jeziorski and was a lifelong area resident. Loretta was employed as a clerk for Tuesley Drug Store in South Bend. She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Bea) Paar of Indianapolis, IN, Ernie (Lori) Paar of Warsaw, IN, and Steve (Sharon) Jeziorski of Schererville, IN; six grandchildren, Emily, Betsy and Melissa Paar, Jenny (Jeremy) Schue, and Kelli and Kerri Jeziorski; two step-grandchildren, Kathy Stephens and Kim (Luis) Quispe; one step-great-grandchild, Matthew Quispe; three sisters, Leona Liwosz, Gertrude Downs and Dorothy (George) Bagarus, all of South Bend; a brother, Joseph (Jan) Jeziorski of Manchester, MO; and by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Ed "Lefty," Leonard, Ben and Harry Jeziorski, and Ralph Lake.

Loretta was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus B.M. Catholic Church, South Bend. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, July 27, 2007, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday, July 28, 2007, in St. Stanislaus B.M. Catholic Church, South Bend; burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
