MISHAWAKA - Rose Marie Overman, 84, of Mishawaka, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Milton Home in South Bend. Rose Marie was born on March 30, 1925 in Huntington, IN to the late Lloyd and Nancy Marie (Walther) Dillman. As the former Rose Marie Dillman, she married Dr. Melvin E. Overman on May 19, 1946. Dr. Overman passed away on January 31, 1995. Rose Marie and Dr. Melvin Overman shared forty-nine wonderful years of marriage together. Survivors include her two sons, Ken (Nancy) Overman of Mishawaka, IN and Doug (Linda) Overman of Granger,IN. Rose Marie was a loving and caring grandmother and great-grandmother to three grandchildren, Matthew Overman of Ft. Wayne, IN, Lisa Overman of South Bend, IN Anna Markuson-Overman of Plymouth, IN and great-grandson Lucas Willis of Plymouth, IN. Also surviving Rose Marie are two brothers, Tom (Mary) Dillman of Ohio and Louis (Karin) Dillman of Maine. A brother Charles Dillman precedes her death. Rose Marie was the Office Manager for her husband's Chiropractic Practice, retiring after thirty-seven years of service. Rose Marie was a published poet who enjoyed writing her own poems. Rose Marie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family, which she cherished most of all. Rose Marie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, until she was unable to attend due to health reasons. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 24, 2009, with one- hour visitation prior to that, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel 3910 N. Main St Mishawaka. Burial will follow the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
