John Ott
John Ott, age 76 years, 318 South Carroll Street, died this
morning at 10:30
o'clock at his residence. Death followed an illness of
about one year. Mr.
Ott is survived by his wife, four children, Clarence E.
Ott, William O. Ott
and Mrs. Albert Jay of this city and Mrs. Frank Mowiser of
Marshall County,
Indiana and the following half brothers, and sisters; Mrs.
Edward Berger,
Bremen; Samuel Carbeiner this county; Joseph Wolmer and
Benjamin Carbeiner of
Lucas, Kan., and Peter Carbeiner of Pueblo, Calif. He was
born in Germany in 1847,
and had lived in South Bend most of his life. Mr. Ott
served during the
civil war with Company K 29th Indiana Volunteers and was a
member of Auten Post
No 8 G. A. R. He had been a member of the I.O.O.F. for 42
years.
