Loring G. "Toby" Osler, 70,
of Adams Road, Granger, Indiana died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, March
30 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was born on August 27,
1931 in Edwardsburg, Michigan to the late Elizabeth (Horvath) and
Eugene Osler.
On August 17, 1956 in North Liberty he
married Anna K. Parsons who survives, then on November 27,
1994 he married Cecelia "Vicky" Kirchner-Bruse who
survives. Mr. Osler is also survived by three daughters, Lorina Strombeck
of Granger, IN. Jana Barth of Plymouth, Indiana, Lisa Brugh
of South Bend, two stepdaughters, Reva Kirchner of Goshen,
Indiana and Chantelle Hart of Mishawaka, Indiana, three
sons Michael and Jeff Osler both of South Bend, and Mark Osler of
Elkhart, Indiana, three stepsons, Kenneth Kirchner of Elkhart,
Terry Kirchner of Osceola, Indiana and Karl Kirchner of Goshen,
nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Mr. Osler was a retired Supervisor for the
St. Joseph County Highway Dept. He attended Northside Church of
the Nazarene, Elkhart. He loved working with heavy equipment and
had great pride in his yard. He was an avid collector of antiques
and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.
Services for Mr. Osler will be at 1 p.m.
Tuesday, April 2 in the Northside Church of the Nazerene, 53569-1
County Road 7, Elkhart. Rev. Dan Cole pastor of the church will
conduct the services. Friends may call from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m.
Monday, April 1 in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033
Cleveland Road, South Bend, and one hour prior to services in the
church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park,
Granger. The family has requested that memorial contributions be
made to the American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate,
Memorial & Tributes Program, P.O. Box 88-541, Chicago,
Illinois, 60680-1541, or the American Diabetes Association c/o
