Milton F. Ort, aged 69, of Kalamazoo, Mich., formerly of South Bend, died Monday night in a Kalamazoo hospital of injuries sustained in a fall in the home of his daughter, Miss Catherine A. Ort, a few hours earlier.

He was born in South Bend Dec. 14, 1879, and went to make his home with his daughter, Catherine, a year ago. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ort, a pioneer family of St. Joseph county.

On Dec. 25, 1902, he married Blanche Ross, who is deceased.

Surviving besides the daughter, Catherine, are two sisters, Mrs. Ida Barnes and Mrs. Charlotte Novis, both of South Bend, and a brother, Walter D. Ort, of Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Haverstock funeral home, LaPorte, Ind. Burial will be in the Pine Lake cemetery, LaPorte.
