Daniel Ort, for many years a respected resident of St. Joseph county, died at his home at 530 North Michigan street, South Bend, Tuesday morning aged 65 years. He had been ill for several weeks with stomach trouble, and death was not unexpected.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Ort, and four children - Mrs. Ida Barnes, of South Bend; Mrs. Lottie Novis, Benton Harbor; Wallace Ort, Mishawaka; and Milton Ort, of LaPorte.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon.
