Aloysius Edward Ornat, 80, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003 at Lakewood Nursing Center. Born in South Bend, Ind., he served his country with the Army Air Corps in the Panama Canal. Later, he worked as financial manager with the Aero Trust Corporation at Miami International Airport. He retired from Aero Trust in 1988 and moved to the Fruitland area. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1641; VFW and the American Legion; Live Oak Golf and Country Club. He was also a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Martha Jean Ornat, Fruitland; son: James (Lynn) Ornat, Bend, Ore.; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 at Clayton Frank & Biggs Funeral Home, Crescent City.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Hope Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jake Brey officiating. Burial will follow in Eden Cemetery in Crescent City.
