SOUTH BEND - Sister Marie Rene O'Pray CSC, 90, of Saint Mary's Annex, died at 7:40 a.m. today in her residence. Sister Marie Rene was born Oct. 12, 1904, in New York City.

She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Feb. 14, 1936; was received as a novice on Aug. 15, 1936; and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1938. She was assigned to teaching in elementary schools in Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas. She is survived by two sisters, Sister M. Ignacio CSC of South Bend and Eleanore Purtell of Glenside, Pa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Church of Loretto, Saint Mary's. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Saint Mary's. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Monday in the church, where a wake will be at 7 p.m. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
