Bernard Opperman

1901 – March 19, 1974

Services for Bernard Opperman,73,of 617 Coquillard Dr., who died at 9:30am Tuesday in Mt Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles, were to have been held at 3:30pm today in the Forest G Hay & Son Funeral Home, 1201 S Michigan St., Rabbi Jacob Bergman of the Sons of Israel Congregation and Rabbi Rabinowitz, formerly of Sinai Synagogue officiating.  Burial was to be in the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Mr. Opperman played first flute with the Vienna Symphony for many years an then with the India Radio Orchestra in India for seven years before coming to South Bend.  Memorial contributions may be mad to the Heart Assn.
