SOUTH BEND - Michael Henry O'Neil, 36, of 241 E. Victoria St., died at 7 a.m. Saturday in his home of an illness. Mr. O'Neil was a teacher.

He was born Feb. 28, 1958, in Fremont, Mich., and moved to South Bend two years ago from Alaska. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Zelda and Stuart Miller of Fremont; three sisters, Nancy Sikkenga and Sue Taskey, both of Twin Lake, Mich., and Patti LaPine of Mackinac Island, Mich.; a brother, Ronald O'Neil of Newaygo, Mich.; a stepsister, Marie Robins of Newaygo; five stepbrothers, Richard Miller of Holton, Mich., Tom and John Miller, both of Muskegon, Mich., Stuart Miller Jr. of Grand Haven, Mich., and Tim Miller of Nashville, Tenn.; and his companion, Gregg Neitzke of South Bend.

There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
