South Bend – Margaret A. O’Neill, 85, of 1122 N. Notre Dame Ave., died at 1:35 a.m. today in St. Paul’s Retirement Community. Mrs. O’Neill was born Nov. 19, 1901, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident.

On June 23, 1936 in South Bend, as Margaret A. Braunsdorf, she married James O’Neill who died in 1967. She is survived bt three daughter, Margaret Policinski and Ruth Smanda, both of South Bend, and Dorothy Bodden of Portage, Wis.; three sons, Donald J. of South Bend, Charles of Mendota, Ill. And Richard J. of Gillsburg, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George Hennion of South Bend; and a brother, William Braunsdorf of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at McGann Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m.
