Jennie M. Mortenson Olson

September 23, 1896 – May 2, 1986

Jennie Olson, 89, of Milton Home, died at 5:55pm Friday in the home.

She was born on September 23, 1896, in Chippewa Falls WI.  She lived in South Bend for 55 years, coming from Chippewa Falls.  On June 9, 1920, in Chippewa Falls as Jennie Mortenson, she married Oswald Olson.  He died on July 10, 1971.  She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Olson Snyder of Carmel IN; three sons, Donald T. Olson, MD and Eugene R. both of South Bend: Glen O. of St Paul MN; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Emmons of Rochester IN.

Services will be at 11am Tuesday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, of which she was a member for 50 years.  Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.  Friends may call form 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.  Memorial contributions may be made to St Joseph County Heart Association or to the Church.
