Mrs. Olle (Thelma) Olsen

July 15, 1909 – November 11, 1982

Mrs. Thelma C. Olsen, 73, of 309 E. Woodside, died at 6am today in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

She was born on July 15, 1909, in South Bend and lived here all her life.  She retired from Robertson’s Department Store as a bookkeeper after 20 years.  On January 30, 1932, as Thelma DuMont in LaPorte, she married Olle Olsen, who survives with two daughters, Mrs. Ollene Swanson and Mrs. Anita Hunt, both of South Bend; a son, Ronald Olsen of South Bend; 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a brother, Russell DuMont of South Bend.

Services will be at 1pm Saturday at the Evangelical Covenant Church with Rev. Raymond Warren Jr., pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 2 to4 and 7 to 9pm Friday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical Covenant Church, of which she was a member, or to the American Diabetes Association.
