Valcour S. Olivier

November 13, 1909 – June 14, 1985

Valcour S. Olivier, 75, of 19649 Palisades St., died at 5:50pm Friday at St Joseph’s Medical Center.  He was employed for 23 years at Studebaker Corp; then he worked at Chandler Sales & Service and was also a self-employed carpenter.

Born November 13, 1909, in New Iberia LA, Mr. Olivier had lived here since 1924, coming from New Iberia.  On August 29, 1935, in South Bend, he married Irene Konopinski, who survives with two sons, Harold R. and Laurence E., both of South Bend; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11am Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, of which he was a member.  Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Monday at Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, where a rosary service will be read at 7:30pm.  Mr. Olivier was a member of Holy Name Society.  Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
