Larry Oler
July 22, 1941 January 28, 1964
Larry Oler, 22, a
former South Bend resident, was found dead in his home Tuesday in
Hollywood CA of a gunshot wound to his chest. Hollywood
police said Oler died of an apparent self-inflicted wound from a
.30 caliber rifle.
He was born in South
Bend on July 22, 1941, moving to California about four years ago.
He is survived by his widow, Donnetta; a daughter, Lorrie Lee;
his mother, Mrs. Harold Shippy of Berrien Springs; his father,
Lewis E. Oler of South Bend; a brother, Rolbert L. Oler of Hollywood
and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Collins of Niles and Mrs Donald
Morningstar of Berrien Springs.
Friends may call
after 7pm Saturday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, where
services will be held at 1:30pmMonday. Rev. Raymond E.
Belcher, assistant pastor of the First Presbyterian Church will
officiate and burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
