Sister Francis Jerome CSC, 72, of St. Mary’s died Monday in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. She was born Susan A. O’Laughlin, Dec. 14, 1877 in Seneca, Ill. She was a teacher who rose to vice-president of St. Mary’s College, which she served in this position from 1931 to 1947. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross July 31, 1896, and was professed Aug. 15, 1902. In 1945 she was appointed religious superior of the college.
