MISHAWAKA – Services for Margaret M. O’Keefe, 93, of Jamestown Court North, who died Monday night is St. Anthony Hospital, Michigan City, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Mrs. O’Keefe was born July 31, 1898 in Kenosha, Wis. and lived in Mishawaka for 50 years. On June 26, in Grand Rapids, as Margaret M. Muldoon, she married Louis J. O’Keefe Sr. He died Jan. 3, 1971. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Clark of Connorsville, Ind. and Rita Newman of Michigan City; two sons, Louis J. Jr. of Jackson, Tenn. And James of Mishawaka; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Muldoon of Grand Rapids. She was a member of the church, Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella, and was past president of National Council for Diocesan Women.
