LAKEVILLE - Hazel Evylen Ogle, 82,
formerly of Lakeville, Ind., passed away from natural causes at
3:55 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, at the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home
in Plymouth, Ind.
Mrs. Ogle was a homemaker, born on March 18,
1916, in Marshall County, Ind., to the late Elmer and Minnie (Bradley)
Couts. She had been a lifelong area resident.
On April 1, 1937, in Plymouth, she married
Otis Ogle, who preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1986. She was
also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Harkins on
Oct. 11, 1994; a sister, Eva Harms; and by a brother, Dan Couts.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty DeLanghe of
Lakeville and JoAnn Meadows of Hamlet, Ind.; 11
grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and three great-
great-grandchildren; three sisters, Iris Keck of South
Bend, Ind., Mildred Reid of Culver, Ind., and Margaret McAvoy
of Walkerton, Ind.; and by four brothers, Everett Couts of South
Bend, Floyd Couts, Alfred ''Dean'' Couts and William Couts, all
of Plymouth.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at
the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville. Rev.
Don Francis will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill
Cemetery, Plymouth. Friends may call two hours prior to services
on Tuesday at the Palmer Funeral Home in Lakeville. Contributions
in memory of Hazel E. Ogle may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease
Association, 919 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46617.
