WALKERTON - Betty L. Ogle, 79, of Walkerton, passed away on
Monday, October 19th, 2009. Betty was born on January 8th, 1930,
to Harland and Bertha Lancaster. She had lived her entire life in
the Walkerton area. Mrs. Ogle was an Eastern Star and was very
active in the senior citizens center. She was also a past
president of the Walkerton Business Women's Association. Betty
enjoyed sewing, playing cards and bowling. She will be remembered
as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and
mother-in-law. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jim L.
Ogle; three brothers, Clyde, Lyle and Donald Lancaster; and four
sisters, Eleanor Ballentine, Ruth Stalker, Erma Purvis and
Carolyn Johnson. She is survived by one son, Randy C. Ogle of
Walkerton; one daughter, Sandra L. (Greg) Fassett of Logansport;
two grandchildren, Kathleen (Brian) Keppner and Anne Fassett; two
great-grandchildren, Sophia Keppner and Cooper Keppner. Funeral
services will be held on Friday, October 23rd, 2009, at 11:00
a.m. (EST) in the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, 408 Roosevelt Road,
Walkerton. Visitation with the family on Thursday from 2 to 4
p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. There will be an
Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. (EST) on Thursday in the funeral
home. Donations on behalf of Betty are preferred to the Center
for Hospice and Palliative Care, Plymouth.
