Mrs. Blanche C. Odor: (South Bend Tribune 10/29/1982)
Mrs. Blanche C. Odor, 83, of 725 E. Woodside, died at 8:07 p.m.
Thursday in Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She was a
homemaker. Mrs. Odor was born Dec. 29, 1898, in South Bend and
was a lifetime area resident. On Sept. 21, 1920, in South Bend,
she married Arthur E. Odor, who survives, along with two
daughters, Mrs. Richard (Doris) Rutkowski and Mrs. George
(Gladys) VanDePutte, both of South Bend; a son, Jerry A. Olden of
Beverton, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Mrs. Josephine Varga and Mrs. James Klimek, both of
South Bend; and two brothers, Edmund Nowicki of South Bend and
Charles Nowicki of Marion, Ind. Services will be conducted at 1
p.m. Monday in St. Matthew Cathedral with Most Rev. Joseph R.
Crowley, rector, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in
Guisinger Colonial Chapel where the rosary will be recited at
7:30 p.m. She was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society of the
church.
