Sister Kathrine Jerome CSC, died Tuesday afternoon in St. Mary’s Convent after a long illness. She was born Deborah A., O’Connell in County Kerry, Ireland in 1881 and came to the United States in 1898. She entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1920. She spent her entire community life at St. Mary’s Convent after receiving the habit in 1921 and professing her vows in 1923.

Friends may call in the convent parlor today until 7:30 p.m.. A requiem mass will be at 6:40 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Loretto Chapel followed with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
