Mishawaka – Andrew A. O’Connell, age 76, of 500 Lincoln Way east, died at 3:32 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, following an illness. Mr. O'Connell retired from Mishawaka Stamping in 1980. He was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Cannlonton, W. Va. and had resided in this area since 1955.

Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Wright of South Bend; four sons, Thomas "Pat" and Andrew III, both of South Bend, Michael and Ike, both of Mishawaka; five grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas of Baltimore, Md. He was a member of Mishawaka Moose Lodge Chapter 98.

There will be no services. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home.
