SOUTH BEND - Thelma "Edie"
O'Brien, 79, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2008, in
Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Edie was born on May 3, 1928, in
Atlanta, GA, to the late Grover and Gertrude Reaves.
On May 13, 1965, she married William Biddinger,
who preceded her in death in 1987. On May 3, 2001, she married
Thomas J. O'Brien in South Bend. She is survived by her husband,
Thomas; two children, Heidi (Jeff) Cwidak of South Bend
and Christopher (Susan) Parrott of Fayetteville, GA; five
grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas and Claire Cwidak of South Bend,
Brad and Amy Parrott of Fayetteville, GA; three
great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ophelia Flemmons of
GA and Gladys Quinn of NC. She was preceded in death by
her daughter, Bonnie L. Parrott; and three brothers, George, Fred

accomplishments of her grandchildren. Whether it be academic
achievements, football, softball, or just a batch of fresh baked
cookies. She took every opportunity to celebrate her
grandchildren. She will remain in our hearts forever. She was a
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to all. Special
thanks to the Green family for your friendship and devotion.
