Sister Mary Carmel CSC, 88, of St. Mary’s Convent, died Wednesday evening in the convent following a short illness. She was Born Margaret Mary O’Brien July 27, 1884 in Ireland, and came to the United States in 1903 from Ireland. Survivors include a brother in Ireland. She spent most of her life teaching in California.
