MISHAWAKA - Matthew Allen O'Banion, 4, of 1623 S. Union St., died at 4:23 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Medical Center Burn Center, Fort Wayne, of burns suffered in a Jan. 5 house fire. Matthew was born March 5, 1991, in South Bend. Surviving are his mother, Elizabeth O'Banion of Mishawaka; paternal grandmother, Diana Morrison of South Bend; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Ann O'Banion of South Bend; maternal grandmother, Sandra Likes of Mishawaka; paternal great-grandmothers, Lullibel O'Banion of LaPorte and Mary Frazier, of South Bend; a brother, Mark Jr.; a half-brother, Donald Rose; and two half-sisters, Cassandra Ewing and Megan Ford, all of Mishawaka. His father, Mark O'Banion, died in 1990.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 M. Main St. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
