OSCEOLA - Duane G. Null, 64, of Osceola, passed away from
an extended illness early Saturday morning, April 12, 2008, in
Hospice House, South Bend. Duane was born on September 7, 1943,
in Mishawaka, to the late Harold and Beatrice (Schieber)
Null. A brother, Dean Null, also preceded him in death.
Duane married the former Faith Louise Fry
on March 16, 1963, in Edwardsburg, MI. Duane and Faith Louise
just celebrated 45 years of trust and commitment to each other, a
month ago this past March. Surviving are his wife, Faith Louise,
and their two children, Bob (Becky) Null of Indianapolis, IN, and
Scott (Patty) Null of Granger, IN. Duane was a loving and caring
grandfather to eight grandchildren, Chelsea, McKenzie, Olivia,
Steven, Alex, Carter, Edward and Jacqueline Null. Also surviving
are two sisters, Virginia and Dorla Null, both of Mishawaka.
Duane retired 21/2 years ago as a custodian from Jimtown High
School. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Mishawaka.
Duane's hobby was being an avid E-Bay browser, a collector of
Indian artifacts, and an artist and, along with his wife, the two
were metal detector enthusiasts. Duane was proud of his children
and grandchildren most of all.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8
p.m. today, April 14, in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main
Street, Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday,
April 15, at 2:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the
services in Grace Community Church, 4001 Lincoln Way East,
Mishawaka. The Rev. Rick Graves will officiate. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Grace Community Church.
