Fred F. Nucci, 82, of Oakdale Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died Saturday morning in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Nucci was born on June 15, 1914, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a graduate of the former Central High School.
On June 22, 1935, in South Bend, he married the former Anne Obermyer. She preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Jo-Ann Aldrich of South Bend and Dr. Marianne Prout of Boston; a son, Alfred R. of Alexandria, Va.; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca and Andrew.
Mr. Nucci worked for many years at South Bend Lathe Works and retired from the Bendix Corporation. He was a member of the Community Congregational Church, St. Joseph Lodge 45, Scottish Rite, South Bend Shrine Club, Orak Temple and Bowler's Country Club.
Hours of visitation are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., today, at Welsheimer Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Congregational Church.
