Jacob Nowicki: (South Bend Tribune 8/6/1950)

Jacob Nowicki, aged 73, of 1615 West Sample street, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday in his home after an illness of four months. He was born in Poland June 21, 1877, and came here from that country 60 years ago. He retired as an employee of the Studebaker corporation seven years ago. Surviving are his widow, Magdalena; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Gorney, Mrs. Lottie Niezgodski and Mrs. Stella Otolski; five sons, John, Anthony, Casimir, Frank and Alex; a brother Michael, all of South Bend; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today in his home. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Casimir’s Catholic church, Rev. Casimir J. Witucki, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Polish cemetery.
