Sylvester (Salley) Nowacki
September 7, 1896 - April 25, 1969
Sylvester (Salley) Nowacki, 72, Rt 2,
Rolling Prairie, died in St Joseph's Hospital at 1:35pm Friday
after a brief illness. He had been employed at the Oliver
Corp for 40 years retiring in 1962.
He was born September 7, 1896, in South Bend
and lived here until three years ago when he moved to Saguanay Lake.
His wife Angela Chudzicki died February 28, 1966. He is
survived by two sons, Irvin T. and Edward J. and two daughters,
Mrs. Rita Huber and Mrs. Selma Staszewski, all of South Bend; 20
grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Alex of
South Bend and Casimer of Pelican Rapids MN and a sister, Mrs.
Stella Schultz of Orlando FL.
Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and
from 10am to 9pm Sunday in the Kaniewski & Son Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10am Monday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church
with Rev. Casimir Grabarz, CSC, pastor, officiating. Burial
will be in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Nowacki was a member of the St. Florian
Club and the Saguanay Lake Conservation Club. The rosary
will be recited at 7:30pm today and Sunday in the funeral home.
