Regina M. Nowacki

August 26, 1906 – May 18, 1992

SOUTH BEND – Regina M. Nowacki, 85, formerly of East Angela Boulevard, died at 8:40pm Monday in Healthwin Hospital.  Mrs. Nowacki retired in 1971, from Kroger Corp. as head cashier.

She was born August 26, 1906, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  On November 20, 1928, in South Bend, as Regina M. Sikorski, she married Alexander T. Nowacki.  He died May 7, 1992.  She is survived by three daughters, Elaine Miller and Barbara Gabey, both of South Bend, and Joan Kaniewski of Dent MN; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

She was a member of Harvest House of St Adalbert’s Catholic Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church, Altar & Rosary Society of Holy Cross and Retirees Club Local 37.

Services will be at 10am Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be said at 7:30pm.
