Lottie Kucharski Novak, 63, 2114 Buffalo St., died at 1:40 a.m.
today in St. Anthony Hospital after a 10-month illness. A
lifetime resident of Michigan City, she was born April 23, 1908,
to Jacob and Josephine Wroblewski Layman. Her first husband,
Joseph Kucharski, died in 1948. She was married to Casimir Novak,
Sept. 15, 1951, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jerome
and Eugene Kucharski; a step-son, Edward Kuc; two step-daughters,
Mrs. Irene Novak and Mrs. Delores Semla, and a brother, Leonard
Layman, all of Michigan City, five grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. A daughter preceded her in death. The funeral
services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church with
Rev. Stanley Dominik officiating. Burial will be in St.
Stanislaus Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday at Root Funeral Home. Friends may call from tomorrow
evening until Monday services. The deceased was retired from F.H.
Burnham Glove Co., where she worked for 24 years. She was a
member of St. Stanislaus Church, its Rosary Sodality and War
Mothers Unit 157.
