Mrs. Rose O. Nieter, 95, of Golden Age Manor, Mishawaka, formerly of South Bend, died at 3 a.m. today in the nursing home after an extended illness.
Born on March 21, 1881, in Mishawaka, she had lived in the South Bend-Mishawaka area her lifetime.
On Aug. 3, 1903 in Mishawaka she married Fred Nieter, who died in 1950.
Surviving are three sons, Cyril of South Bend, John of Columbus, Wis., and Melvin of Mishawaka; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
