Mrs. Evie Nieter, 65, of 500 Lincoln Way E., Mishawaka, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday in the Golden Age Manor, Mishawaka, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 13, 1915 in Pike County, Ky., and lived in the South Bend-Mishawaka area her lifetime.
On May 5, 1933 she married Melvin A. Nieter in South Bend. He survives with two daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Davis of Cassopolis and Mrs. Carroll Baird of South Bend; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mayme Swartzell of Paradise, Calif.; and four brothers, Archie Seward of Selah, Wash., Robert Sword of Chico, Calif., Elmer Sword of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Edward Sword of Waverly, Ohio.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home. Rev. John R. Parks, pastor, of the River Park United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
