South Bend – Cyril F. Nieter, 85, of 1613 Hildreth St., died at 12:07 a.m. today in St. Joseph Medical Center.
Mr. Nieter retired in 1966 Indian Michigan Power Co., after 40 years of services as an engineer.
He was born Nov. 23, 1994, in Mishawaka and was a lifelong area resident. On Oct 22, 1927, in South Bend he married Claribel Kilmer. She survives with a daughter, Jackie Nieter of South Bend; a son, C. Fred of Georgetown, Ind.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dutch of South Bend and Jack of Mishawaka,
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 Wednesday and two hours before services on Thursday in the funeral home.
