SOUTH BEND - Thomas J. Niedbalski,
52, of Berkley Place, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 2:15 p.m.
on Thursday, Feb 19, in the Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. He
was born on Nov. 29, 1945, in South Bend, to Casimer and Agnes (Zelasko)
Niedbalski, both of whom preceded him in death. Mr. Niedbalski
was the owner of Sunrise Cafe.
On Nov. 21, 1992, he married Georgiana F.
Hayes, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Jessica
P. Niedbalski, who is attending Tulane University in New Orleans,
La.; a stepdaughter, Danielle A. Varner of South Bend; two
sons, Vincent W. Niedbalski of South Bend and Benjamin P.
Niedbalski, who is attending Northland College in Ashland, Wis.;
a stepson, Christopher C. Varner of Niles, Mich., and by his
brother, Ron Niedbalski of South Bend. Mr. Niedbalski was a 1964
graduate of Clay High School and an Air Force veteran of the
Vietnam and Desert Storm Wars. He was a member of the West Side
Democratic Club, Knights of Columbus, Vietnam Veterans of
Michiana and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mishawaka Post 360.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
today in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on
Monday in the Kaniewski Chapel, with Rev. William Wack, CSC,
officiating. Cremation rites will follow. Memorial contributions
may be made to the American Heart Association, 2410 N. Grape
Road, Suite 5A, Mishawaka, 46545.
