Salvatore E. Nicolini, 81, of 116 E. 9th St., died unexpectedly at 11:40 a.m. Sunday while being taken to St. Josephs Hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born in Santa Arcangelo, Italy, he had lived in this community for the last 52 years after coming from his native land. He was a retired employee of Ball-Band.
Surviving is the widow, the former Miss Angela Guidi, who he married on Oct. 19, 1904 in Italy. Other survivors include four sons, Marion A., Virgil and Raymond A., all of Mishawaka, and John C., of East Chicago, Ind., one daughter, Mrs. Nordina Waltz, of Mishawaka; one brother Eugene Nicolini of Italy, and two sisters, also of Italy. There are 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today in the
De Vos Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10
a.m. Wednesday in St. Bavos Catholic Church by Rev. Otto J.
Keller, Pastor. Burial will be in Fairview Catholic Cemetery. The
rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the church.
Mr. Nicolini was a member of the Holy Name Society of the church,
and the St. Vincent De Paul Society, and the Third Order of St.
Francis.

NICOLINI- Funeral rites for Salvatore E. Nicolini, 81, of 116 E. 9th St., who died Sunday will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bavos Catholic Church, Rev. Otto J. Keller, pastor will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the De Vos Chapel and the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the church. Pallbearers will be Joseph and Thomas Nicolini, Robert and Donald Waltz, Robert Guidi and John La Free.
