John Nicolini
Died May 6, 1947
John Nicolini, aged 64, prominent
in this community, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in St. Joseph hospital,
this city, after an illness of several months. Death was due to natural causes.
Mr. Nicolini had made his residence at 225 West 10th Street, and lived in Mishawaka
since 1908. He was a salesman for the South Bend Brewing Company since 1906.
Surviving Mr. Nicolini are, Clara Nicolini, Gene
Nicolini, Gertrude Nicolini, of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Martin A. Rooney, jr., of
Washington D. C., and Louis Nicolini of South Bend, and four grandchildren,
Rebecca Ann, Marilyn Louise, John Michael and Christopher John, and two
sisters, Mrs. Theresa Zannoni and Mrs. Augusta Bartoll of Italy.
Mr. Nicolini was a faithful member of St. Bavo's
Catholic church and funeral services will be held from that church at 9 a.m.
Friday morning, with Rev. Otto Keller, officiation. The Rosary will be recited
at the church Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Burial will take place in St.
Joseph Catholic cemetery, this city, Friday morning.
Mr. Nicolini was affiliated with the Liberty club,
the Osceola Lion's club, and the Christopher club of South Bend. He was an
active civic worker, and also belonged to the DiLoreto club of Mishawaka and
the Eagle's lodge of this city.
His many friends and acquaintances mourn his
passing and extend their sympathy and regrets to the members of his family.
