SOUTH BEND - Victor Nicodemus, 85, of South Bend, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2008, in Providence House, South Bend. Victor was born on February 28, 1923, in South Bend, to the late Malicha and Lola Ethel (Dingman) Nicodemus. On September 8, 1968, in South Bend, he married Vylah Amor, who passed away February 13, 1989. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Stephen and William Amor; and siblings, Joe Bob, Catherine, Virgil and Jim. He is survived by two daughters, Vicki and Peggy Nicodemus; one granddaughter, Marilyn Godbey; and a stepdaughter, Shelly Amor Williams. Victor proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He retired from Bendix where he was a pipe fitter. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 303, American Legion Post 624, and the Pipe Fitters Union.
