Hobart Nevins, 65, of 714 E. Madison St., was found dead in
his home by a friend, Monday morning. He had been under treatment
for a coronary condition, and has been ill for four weeks. He was
employed as a guard at the University of Norte Dame. He was born
in South Bend on May 28, 1895. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs.
Edwin J. Strantz, of Mishawaka. Friends may call after 7 p.m.
today in the Orvis Funeral Home where services will be held at
2p.m. Thursday. Rev. Walter D. Oberholtzer, pastor of Holy
Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate, and burial will be in
City Cemetery.
