Alice E. Nevins

Nov. 19, 1919 - Nov. 21, 1999

Alice Esther Drake Nevins, 80, of 51256 Garrett Road, died of natural causes at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, at home.

Mrs. Nevins was born on Nov. 19, 1919, in Philadelphia, Pa. On Nov. 10, 1940, she married Frank Nevins in South Bend, Ind. He survives. To this union four children were born.

Alice and her husband, Frank Nevins, have owned Shady Shore Resort at Dewey Lake (Sister Lakes, Dowagiac, Mich.) for the past 56 years.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Nevins of Hartford, Mich., Bruce Nevins of Dewey Lake and Phillip Nevins of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Lynette Nevins of Baltimore, Md.; and by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial of the cremated remains will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Mishawaka, Ind.

Donations in memory of Alice Nevins may be made to Cass/Van Buren County Hospice.
