Lloyd Donald Netherton, 76, of East Ninth Street, Mishawaka, passed away at 12:12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, following an illness. He was born on Sept. 25, 1924, in South Bend, Ind., to William and Bertha Netherton who preceded him in death. On Nov. 12, 1948, he married the former Faughn Hollar. She died on Sept. 13, 1996. Lloyd is survived by a brother, Harry (Catherine) Netherton of Niles, Mich.; and a sister, Lucille (Rev. Don) Martin of Indianapolis; along with several nieces and nephews. Lloyd has gone to heaven and we will miss his generous spirit. Lloyd was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was retired from Allied Signal Corp. of South Bend in 1986, after 22 years of service as an aircraft inspector. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1167 of South Bend, and the United Auto Workers Local #9, South Bend.

Funeral services for Lloyd Netherton will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel of St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends will be received from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of St. Joseph County.
