MISHAWAKA - Herbert L. Nering, 80, of 100 Center Hi-Rise, died at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital. Mr. Nering was a former employee of Studebaker Corp. and Bowlers Country Club. He was born Dec. 4, 1913, in St. Joseph County, and was a lifelong area resident.

He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Mark and Rubie Powell, both of Mishawaka; and a brother, Louis W. of Mishawaka. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
