Marie T. (Piasecki) Hansen Nemeth, 85, of Tanglewood Lane, passed away at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, in the Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Nemeth was born on Dec. 1, 1913, in South Bend, Ind., to John and Mary (Kruk) Piasecki, and was a lifelong resident. She retired in 1980 as the head dietician at Healthwin Hospital after over 40 years of service.

As Marie T. Piasecki, she married James H. Hansen, who died on Sept. 2, 1967. On March 14, 1983, she married Peter J. Nemeth, who also preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1997. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Diane (Jim) Hullinger of South Bend; a stepson, Lynn (Wanda) Nemeth of South Bend; a granddaughter, Tina Marie Hansen of Waldport, Ore.; a stepgrandson, Neil Nemeth of Illinois; and by a daughter-in-law, Barbara Hansen of Waldport.

Mrs. Nemeth was a member of Holy Cross Parish and Four Lakes Country Club. Her favorite hobby was collecting Hummels.

Private graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County, 711 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617.
