Madeline J. (Kenna) Nemeth, 80, of West Broadway, Mishawaka, Ind., died on Sunday evening, Jan. 2, at St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Mrs. Nemeth was born on June 24, 1919, in South Bend, to Kelemen and Marcella (Sokal) Kenna, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, eight sisters and two brothers.
She was married on April 20, 1940, in South Bend, Ind., to George R. Nemeth, who died on April 10, 1999. She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Ann (Robert) Bassler of Mishawaka and Paulette Chris (Jim) Doan of Mishawaka; and by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nemeth was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson, with Rev. Derrick Sneyd, pastor of St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson.
