home. She was born on February 14, 1923, in Mishawaka, the
daughter of Fred and Helen (McFarren) Shreve. Betty
is survived by two brothers, Jay Shreve and Connie (Judy) Shreve;
and one sister, Roxanne Blair, all of South Bend; and her
sister-in-law, Ann Locsmondy of South Bend, and her
family. Sisters, Donna Kinder and Shirley Smith,

received many recognitions for her dedicated years of service.
Even though Betty and Alex had no children together, she was

will be remembered for her love of family and the many kindnesses

take trips to Brown County in the fall. She also enjoyed
attending her husband's Army reunions. We will always remember
her "vim and vigor" and her caring ways toward others,
family stories of her youth, love of the church and gospel music.
Betty attended Hillside Missionary Church, South Bend.
