SOUTH BEND - Former South Bend resident Louis A. Nelson Jr., 95, of Elmwood Park, IL, died Sunday in Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart. He is survived by three granddaughters, Jodie Nelson (Michael Parm) of Elkhart, Connie M. Nelson of South Bend and Crystal Nelson of Mishawaka; and a sister, Ruth Woods of Louisville, KY. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, where friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
